YOU DO NOT NEED A TRANSIT VISA if you are travelling via Russia to your final destination and you spend in Russia not more than 24 hours remaining in the transit zone of the same airport.

Please note that if you travel across the territory of Russia to the countries of the Customs Union (Belorussia, Kazakhstan) according to Russian laws you need to apply for a transit visa, unless you are a citizen of countries eligible for visa-free travel to Russia in accordance with bilateral agreements.

Dat wilde ik nou al een tijdje weten. Ik zie met regelmaat goedkopere vluchten met transit in SVO.
